Glossary
The vocabulary of the platform, alphabetically. Terms link to the page that treats them in full.
A - E
- Anti-sniper
- A per-launch setting on curve venues that caps every wallet at
2%of supply while the token is bonding, so one actor cannot sweep a young curve. Direct-to-pool launches have no bonding phase and no wallet cap. More. - Basis point (bps)
- One hundredth of a percent.
100 bps = 1%. Fees and caps are specified in bps because percentages of percentages get ambiguous fast. - Bonding curve
- The formula-priced market a token trades on before graduation; the launchpad contract is the counterparty of every trade. Today this describes the PONS venue on Robinhood, a native-SOL Solana launch (Meteora DBC) and the coming-soon chains Ronin and HyperEVM - not the direct-to-pool launches on Robinhood, BSC, Base, Ethereum and Arc. More.
- Bridge & swap
- The in-app LI.FI widget that bridges between, and swaps on, Ethereum, BSC, Base, Ronin and Solana. Non-custodial; carries a disclosed
0.75%fee. Robinhood Chain is not covered by LI.FI. - bStocks
- Binance's tokenized stocks on BSC (
NVDAB,AAPLB,TSLAB): 18-decimal BEP-20s priced by Chainlink feeds. On degen.zone they are reward payouts on PancakeSwap Infinity launches only, not LP-pair quotes. Their transfers route through the issuer's compliance module, which can restrict transfers. More. - Bundle
- A creator's atomic buy into up to
50wallets inside the launch transaction, permanently disclosed on-chain - degen.zone's answer to hidden multi-wallet accumulation. More. - CLMM
- Raydium's concentrated-liquidity pool. A Solana custom pair opens directly as a CLMM pool - tradeable from block one, with no curve and no graduation.
- Completion
- On a curve venue, the moment a curve reaches its target (
2×the opening reserve, net). Curve trading stops and the token waits for graduation. - CREATE2
- The EVM opcode that lets a contract address be computed before deploy. degen.zone grinds a salt so a launch can claim a vanity address; on BSC's Infinity launcher the salt is creator-bound.
- Creator-bound salt
- The PancakeSwap Infinity launcher's vanity rule: every non-zero
CREATE2salt must carry the creator's address in its first 20 bytes, else the launch revertsSaltNotOwned. A pre-announced vanity address therefore cannot be front-run by someone else deploying at it. The grinder searches the remaining 96 bits; the Uniswap V4 launchers accept any salt. More. - DBC
- Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve - the engine behind a native-SOL Solana launch. Graduates into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool.
- Dev buy
- The creator's optional first buy, executed atomically inside the launch transaction and publicly disclosed in the launch event. Capped at
20%of supply on a direct-to-pool launch and2%on a curve. - Direct-to-pool launch
- The launch model on Robinhood, BSC, Base, Ethereum and Arc: no bonding curve and no graduation. The full supply is minted single-sided below spot into a hooked concentrated-liquidity pool at launch, the LP position is burned, and the market exists from block one. The fee hook takes the creator's swap fee on every trade. More.
F - M
- Fee hook
- The contract attached to a direct launch's pool that charges the creator's chosen swap fee (
0.5-3%) plus the platform and referral add-on on every trade, while the pool's own LP fee is zero. One per liquidity venue. - Fee routing
- The launch-time choice of where a creator's fee share flows: paid out, burned into buybacks, paid to holders, or converted to tokenized stock (when live) - one choice for the native-coin side, one for the token side. More.
- Full-range position
- DEX liquidity spread across every possible price, like a classic v2 pool - it can never fall out of range. What a curve graduation mints. A direct-to-pool launch instead seeds a single-sided position below spot.
- Graduation
- The hand-off from curve to DEX: raised funds plus reserved supply become a locked, full-range liquidity position. Applies to curve venues only - the PONS venue on Robinhood, native-SOL Solana launches, and the coming-soon Ronin and HyperEVM. Direct launches on Robinhood, BSC, Base, Ethereum and Arc never graduate; they start in their pool. More.
- Hotness
- The published score behind Trending and King of the Hill: recent volume, decayed by time since the last buy, plus small trade-count and holder-count terms. More.
- Keeper
- A platform-operated background process that calls role-gated contract functions on schedule - converting and distributing holder rewards, executing buybacks, collecting fees, graduating completed curves. Keepers have narrowly scoped roles, not admin power, and pay gas in the chain's native coin (BNB on BSC, USDC on Arc).
- King of the Hill
- The hottest token on the board, spotlighted on the home page.
- LI.FI
- The cross-chain routing aggregator that powers the in-app bridge & swap. It shops each trade across many underlying bridges and DEXs rather than pinning one venue.
- Liquidity venue
- The wizard's name for the pool venue control shown on BSC: PancakeSwap Infinity or Uniswap V4. See Pool venue.
- LP NFT
- The position token that represents DEX liquidity. A direct-to-pool launch mints its Uniswap V4 (or PancakeSwap Infinity) position NFT and burns it to the dead address, so the liquidity can never be pulled. On curve venues the launchpad holds each graduated token's LP NFT forever and only its fees can be collected.
- Max wallet
- The
2%-of-supply balance cap enforced during bonding on anti-sniper tokens (curve venues only).
N - S
- OFT (cross-chain expansion)
- LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard - the rail behind cross-chain expansion, where one canonical supply is bridged to a second chain. Built, not live anywhere yet; not possible on Ronin or Arc (no LayerZero endpoint) and excluded for reward tokens.
- Opening reserve (y₀)
- A curve's initial virtual quote reserve - the knob behind “opening market cap” on curve venues. Bounded
0.05-50of the native coin; default2. A direct launch has no virtual reserve; its opening price is the pool's starting price. - Opening-bundle fee
- A flat fee charged once, on top of the launch fee, only when you bundle wallets at launch (
0.0137 BNBon BSC,0.004 ETHon Robinhood and Base). Read live from the launcher and shown before signing. More. - PancakeSwap Infinity
- PancakeSwap's V4-style hooked-pool protocol on BSC, and degen.zone's default liquidity venue there. Swaps settle through PancakeSwap's Vault rather than a PoolManager unlock, and a hook's permissions are a bitmap in the pool key, so no hook-address salt mining is needed. Board chip
Infinity. More. - PONS
- A third-party launchpad on Robinhood Chain that degen.zone supports as a venue: a curve quoted in USDG, a stock or native ETH that graduates into a Uniswap V4 Meme-hook pool. Graduated PONS tokens trade in-app through degen.zone's permissionless PONS swap router. Board chip
PONS. More. - Pool venue
- Which concentrated-liquidity singleton a direct launch's hooked pool lives in. Robinhood, Base, Ethereum and Arc have one (canonical Uniswap V4); BSC has two, PancakeSwap Infinity and Uniswap V4, chosen per launch. The launcher, router and bundler ABIs are identical across venues; the venue only decides which address set a call goes to. More.
- pump.fun bundle
- A Solana-only launch mode: the token is created on pump.fun's own curve with a disclosed multi-wallet first buy, in the SAME transaction as the create. Flat fee; none of the platform's fee/reward/referral mechanics. More.
- Quote asset
- What a launch is denominated in: the chain's native coin by default, or an allowlisted ERC-20 - a custom LP pair on Robinhood or Base. More.
- Referral rail
- The flat
0.05%-of-volume leg of every trade fee that pays the trader's referrer. More. - Reward token
- A token whose trades (EVM: in its official pool, via the fee hook) or transfers (Solana Token-2022: every transfer on any venue) fund a reward stream paid to holders in the token itself or an elected asset. Payout is keeper-driven, never instant. More.
- Slippage tolerance
- How far the price may move between your quote and your fill before the trade reverts instead. Presets
0.5/1/3%. - Staking pool
- A per-token pool holders can stake into when the token routes fees to stakers; rewards accrue in the native coin, the token itself, and - once live - tokenized stock.
- State pill
- The badge showing a curve token's phase: Bonding → Filled → Graduated (or Recovered). More.
- Swap fee
- The per-trade fee a creator fixes at launch,
0.5-3%, immutable, split between creator, platform and referrals. More.
T - Z
- Terms gate
- The modal shown on first wallet connect asking you to accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (version
2026-10-17). Browsing needs no acceptance; while the gate is open, on-chain writes are refused. - Token-2022
- Solana's newer token program, whose transfer-fee extension lets a mint tax every transfer on any venue - the enforcement an EVM ERC-20 cannot match. The basis of Solana reward tokens.
- Tokenized equity
- An ERC-20 tracking a stock or ETF's total return, issued by a regulated intermediary and not a share: Robinhood Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain (debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, 18 decimals), Coinbase tokenized stocks on Base (8 decimals) and Binance bStocks on BSC (18 decimals). More.
- Vanity address
- An opt-in, chosen token address. EVM grinds a
CREATE2salt in the launch form (creator-bound on BSC's Infinity launcher); Solana grinds a keypair inside the pump.fun bundle flow. Non-custodial. More. - Vesting
- Linear release of tokens over time, optionally after a cliff - used by the “vest to me” fee routing (30 days from graduation) and by the locker.
- Virtual reserves
- A curve's bookkeeping quantities
xandy- initialised at launch rather than deposited, which is how a curve token has a well-defined price from its first second. More. - VS·SPY
- A token's 24-hour move minus SPY's over the same window, in percentage points - every token benchmarked against the S&P 500, live. More.
- Waitlist
- The signup on chains that are listed but not yet launchable (Ronin, HyperEVM); you are notified when the venue opens. More.
