Custom LP pairs
A launch does not have to trade against the chain's native coin. Pick the chain's dollar (USDG on Robinhood, USDC on Base), a tokenized stock, or paste ANY ERC-20 on the chain - your token's pool opens quoted in that asset, its price and market cap read in it, and its fee stream accrues in it. The first launch ever to prove a new quote opens it for everyone.
The idea
Every launch opens a hooked Uniswap V4 pool. By default its other side is the chain's native coin; a custom pair replaces that side with an ERC-20 quote: the chain's dollar stablecoin for a dollar-denominated token, a tokenized stock for an equity-native one, or any ERC-20 you paste - a community token, a partner's token, anything that passes the on-chain check below. The same contracts run on Robinhood Chain (USDG hub, Robinhood stocks) and Base (USDC hub, Coinbase stocks); the picker names each chain's own assets.

The quote is stamped into the pool at launch and can never change. Every price, market cap and fee this token ever shows is denominated in it.
Picking a pair
The launch page's Paired with field offers the chain's native coin, the curated shelves (Currencies, Stocks), a Community shelf of already-proven custom quotes, and a paste box for a brand-new ERC-20 address. A pasted address is checked immediately, on the chain you are launching on:
On Robinhood Chain the Currencies shelf is not just USDG - it carries all 157 fx currencies (fxEUR, fxJPY, fxINR, and every other major and emerging-market unit). Pair your token in any of them and its price, market cap and fee stream read in that currency. On Base the shelf is USDC. Every address is listed on Supported assets.
- its ERC-20 identity is read on-chain (symbol, decimals - never guessed);
- its route is probed (see below) and the picker says plainly whether a dev buy, bundle and ETH trading can ride this pair;
- if the quote still needs its one-time check, the picker states the exact amount you must hold for it - before you sign anything.
The one-time on-chain check (proveQuote)
A quote no launch has used before must pass a value-conservation check before your pool opens: the hook pulls a tiny probe of the asset from your wallet, sends it through a round-trip, and only allowlists the quote if every unit comes back - which catches fee-on-transfer and rebasing tokens that would silently leak value out of your holders' pool.
What you need
- A probe amount of the quote in your launching wallet:

A passed check is permanent and global: the next creator who picks that quote - from the Community shelf or by pasting it - skips the whole ceremony. The first PONS-paired launch proved PONS for everyone.
Routes: dev buy, bundle & native-coin trading
A dev buy funded in the native coin, an opening bundle, and the "Pay with ETH" trading zap all need an on-chain path from the native coin to your quote. The launch page discovers that route when you pick the pair: it probes the dollar-hub family (WETH to USDG to quote on Robinhood, WETH to USDC to quote on Base) and the direct-WETH family at a realistic ~$1,000 size in both directions, and threads the best surviving path through the launch - the exact bytes the quoter verified are the bytes that execute.

Community listing
Proven custom quotes appear on the picker's Community shelf automatically - the list is derived from real, visible launches (GET /v1/pairs/community, public), so nothing needs a registry edit and nobody has to re-find a CA. Community quotes are community-proven, not owner-vetted: the check guarantees value conservation in the pool, not the merits of the asset.
Prices & market cap in dollars
A custom-paired token's figures are denominated in its quote - and the platform prices the quote itself in dollars off its hub pool (USDG on Robinhood, USDC on Base - exactly how the deep feedless stocks are priced), so the board and the token page show a normal dollar market cap. A quote that cannot be priced keeps its figures honestly in quote units rather than guessing.
Rewards on a custom pair
A custom-paired reward token pays its holders the quote itself, directly - the fee stream already accrues in it, so there is no swap and no slippage in the payout. A PONS-paired reward token pays PONS, every ~15 minutes, keeper-driven, with the same distribution ledger and public stats & widget every reward token gets.
Status
Live - live on Robinhood Chain, proven end-to-end: the first community quote (PONS) was pasted, checked, proven, launched against with a dev buy and a 5-wallet bundle over its discovered route, and paid its holders their first PONS reward within the hour - all on 3 September 2026.
Live - live on Base since 18 September 2026 with the same contracts: USDC and Coinbase-stock pairs proven on mainnet, and the paste box checks a custom quote against the Base pair hook. BSC follows as a configuration row once its PancakeSwap venue is wired.
